Guided walks through the countryside, conscious gathering of wild herbs, and simple cooking rooted in rural tradition come together in the heart of the Chianti region.

How the Experience Works

  • Guided Botanical Walk: Walk through fields and countryside as you learn to recognize wild edible herbs and understand their seasonal cycles, traditional uses, and cultural meaning.
  • Botanical & Herbal Insights: Discover how plants were traditionally used in everyday life, both in the kitchen and for personal well-being, with a focus on conscious and respectful gathering.
  • Cooking Workshop: The herbs collected during the walk are brought into the kitchen, where you will learn how to prepare simple, nourishing dishes inspired by rural and popular tradition.
  • Final Tasting: Enjoy a shared lunch featuring a menu created specifically from the plants gathered, celebrating simplicity, balance, and authentic flavor.

🚶‍♂️ The Botanical Walk:
Join us for a guided walk through fields and countryside in the Chianti hills. You will learn to recognize wild edible herbs, understand their seasonal cycles, traditional uses, and cultural meaning. Each plant tells a story rooted in everyday life and ancient knowledge.

🍳 The Cooking Workshop:
After the walk, we gather in the kitchen to transform the collected herbs into simple, nourishing dishes inspired by rural and popular tradition. Cooking becomes a gesture of care, balance, and connection with the land.

In the Chianti hills, at Osteria La Gramola, near Tavarnelle Val di Pesa (FI).

Half day (approximately 5 hours), lunch included.

  • Foraging for wild herbs
  • Plant identification and botanical tips
  • 11:00 – Return to the restaurant
  • Preparing and organizing the dishes
  • 12:30 – Lunch: salads, soups, main courses, sides, and desserts with floral decorations
  • 14:30 – Farewell after a wonderful day together

All materials are provided. Just come dressed simply and wear comfortable shoes for walking in the countryside.
